Creating a security file

This section describes how to configure access management when not using Central Governance.

This page describes how to create a security file. This feature is used by the Transfer CFT administrator to generate security files via a data entry screen. You can access this feature from the Miscellaneous Operations menu, the main menu and the catalog, and corresponds to the SECFILE command.

Enter the following information:

  • Name of the file to be generated
  • Generate mode:
    • R: replace
    • D: delete
    • C: create
  • Record size
  • Primary and secondary allocation size, on systems that support these features
  • Record encryption, used to ensure data confidentiality (YES/NO)
  • Record sealing, used to ensure data integrity (NONE/DES/CRC)

The default mode when the screen is displayed is CREATE.

The available static commands are:

  • help commands: HELP, HELP GEN
  • disconnection commands: CANCEL, EXIT, FIRST
  • miscellaneous command: INFO

The available dynamic commands are:

  • context-sensitive help command: HELPON <keyword>
  • extraction and query commands: SECEXT/EXTRACT, BROWSE <file>, EDIT <file>
  • commands for accessing specific screens: SECGEN/GEN, SECPURGE, SECQUERY/QUERY, SECSIMUL/SIMUL, SECVALID/VALID
  • miscellaneous command: INTER
