Defining general parameters: SECPARM

This section describes how to configure access management when not using Central Governance.

This optional command defines the security manager’s working environment. The security internal datafile usually includes only one SECPARM command. However, several such commands may be present in the database, in which case a selection is made when the security manager is initialized.

Syntax

SECPARM
     MODE =     {REPLACE | CREATE | DELETE},
     ID =     identifier

Description

Use SECPARM to define the working environment for the security manager.

Parameters

ID = identifier

Command identifier.

This identifier is passed as a startup parameter, and describes a security configuration.

MODE = {REPLACE | CREATE | DELETE}

Operation to be carried out.

  • REPLACE: modifies one or more records, or creates them if they do not exist
  • CREATE: creates one or more records
  • DELETE: deletes one or more records
