Starting the Catalog filter from a URL

This topic describes how to create and launch a catalog filter directly from a URL. When you do this, the Transfer CFT Navigator applet starts automatically.

To do this, open the browser window and enter the applet URL, followed by the catalog parameters and values. The sample below shows the URL and filter parameter format. The possible parameters are listed in the table Catalog filter parameters.

Enter the URL in the following format:

http://<localhost>:1766/index.html?parameter1=value1&parameter2=value2&  ...

You can use the following operators to define and add additional filter descriptors.

To begin:

  • Enter a ? after the base URL address
  • Enter the parameter format
  • Enter an = sign
  • Enter the desired value
  • Enter as many parameters as you need to create your filter
  • Press Enter to launch the newly created filter

Catalog filter parameters

Parameter Description

FILTER

Begin by selecting either the catalog or log to be displayed when you start Copilot:

  • CAT - the Catalog is displayed
  • LOG - the Log is displayed

ID

The filter id from the filter choices in the catalog object in the object manager

MAX

The maximum number of lines to display

ENDDATE

The day descriptor enables you to define the last date for the filter to apply to the log or catalog contents. This end date is the number of days ago, relative to the current day, for the filter to end

This parameter is an integer preceded by a minus sign

For example ENDDATE=-2 to create a filter that ends as of two days ago

ENDTIME

The time descriptor enables you to define a time for the filter to end

The number of hours ago, relative to the current time, for the filter to end

This parameter is an integer preceded by a minus sign

For example ENDTIME=-5 to create a filter that ends as of five hours ago

STARTDATE

The number of days ago for the filter to begin

This parameter is an integer preceded by a minus sign

STARTTIME

The number of hours ago, from the current time for the filter to begin. For example, -2 would create a filter that displays contents from two hours ago, until the defined ENDTIME

This parameter is an integer preceded by a minus sign

STATE

The transfer state for the filter:

  • C - In process
  • D - Available
  • H - Hold
  • K - Keep
  • T - Terminated
  • X - Executed

IDTU

The catalog identifier. It is a unique, local reference to a transfer. This parameter value is case sensitive

IDT

Enter the transfer identifier. This parameter value is case sensitive

IDF

Enter the file model identifier. This parameter value is case sensitive

IDA

Enter the local transfer identifier with a maximum of 64 characters. This parameter value is case sensitive

DIRECT

Direction filter:

  • B - Both
  • R - Receive
  • S - Send

TYPE

The transfer type filter:

  • A - All
  • F - File
  • M - Message
  • R - Reply

PART

The local identifier for the site where the monitor runs. This parameter value is case sensitive

RPART

The name of the receiving partner identifier. This parameter value is case sensitive

SPART

The network identifier. This parameter value is case sensitive

DIAGI

The internal diagnostic code

MODE

The transfer mode filter:

  • B - Both
  • S - Server
  • R - Requester
