Creating a Catalog filter

Complete the Catalog window tabs to define catalog management parameters. You can access the Catalog window as follows:

  1. Click the Monitoring icon.
  2. In the left pane object manager, click the Catalog filter object.
  3. Right click to display the contextual menu. Select Add. The New CAT filterwindow is displayed in the right pane. Complete the tabs to define the Catalog parameters.

General tab

The fields and components displayed in the General tab are schematically illustrated below. Complete the fields as follows and click OK to confirm.

Field Definition

id

Enter the identifier.

comment

Enter a free-text comment.

Localization

Select from:

  • Workstation: the filter data is located locally
  • Server: the filter data is located on the Copilot server

Accessibility

Select from:

  • All: filter data are shared by all users
  • Current: filter data are only available to the current user

Max records

Maximum number of lines listed. 2000 is the default value for this parameter.

Note: The system administrator can limit the maximum record value for the user.

All

Select to list all lines.

state

Transfer state. Choose from: C, D, H, K, T, X

You can optionally select from the following:

  • All - selects all transfer states
  • None - no transfer states are selected
  • Invert - inverts the current selection

part

Partner name. The associated value of this parameter can be an identifier or a mask.

idf

Model file identifier. Several catalog entries may be associated with a given IDF.

idt

Transfer identifier. Identifies a transfer for a given partner and transfer direction. The value '*' means that no selection is required on the IDT parameter (default value).

direct

Transfer direction of the request s in question.

type

Select the type of command to be used:

  • All - all of the following types are used
  • File - communication occurs through a file
  • Message - communication via a message
  • Reply - characterizes a reply send transfer

ida

Local transfer identifier assigned by the user or user application.

rpart

Receiver identifier. Enter a maximum of 8 characters.

spart

Sender identifier.  Enter a maximum of 8 characters.

Columns tab

To associate a column list with a selected filter, click the Columns tab. Use the arrows to customize the filter columns. Additionally you can:

  • Click Reset to reset the columns to the pre-selected setting
  • Not select any columns in the column manager to return to the original default setting

Using predefined catalog filters

To facilitate using catalog filters, you can choose from a series of predefined filters. These filters are grouped in categories which are then further defined.

To use the predefined filters:

  1. In the left pane object manager, click to expand the Monitoring folder.
  2. Click the Catalog object.
  3. Right click to display the contextual menu. Select Predefined filters. Select from the following:
  • All: all catalog contents are displayed
  • Start date: Select to display the catalog transfer as of a start date described in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, up to one year
  • End date: Select to display the catalog transfers as of a end date described in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, up to one year
  • State: Select to display the catalog contents according to the transfer state
