Actions defined in a rule are a set of agents to be performed when a rule triggers. There are two types of agents, External Agents and In-process Agents. For more details on External Agents, and In-process Agents, refer to the SecureTransport Developer’s Guide .

You can specify multiple agents to execute when a rule triggers. In this case, the agents can run sequentially, concurrently, or a combination of both.
