Implement Custom Functions in C

You can extend DML using C programming language. When you define a Custom Function, you can choose C for its category. This means that the integration engine expects the function implementation to reside in a dedicated shared library called (Unix) or libXIBcf.dll (Windows).

Unexpectedly, you can use any programming language to implement a C Custom Function, provided it complies with the C calling convention and the standard ABI for the host on which the integration engine server runs. The basic services that you need for embedding your function into the whole integration engine server are supplied as a C-language API.
