Symbolic values

Similar to any other data, numbers in the integration engine can have one of the two symbolic values null or absent.

These values absorb other values when using basic math operators. This means that whatever the operator is (+, -, * or /), the resulting value is null as shown in the following examples:

56.05 + absent→ null
45 * null→
absent – absent→ null
null / absent→ null
