Use basic expressions

As seen in the previous chapter, checking or mapping data using DML consists of writing special pieces of text. In this chapter, you see that those pieces are called expressions and you learn how they are composed.

After having read this chapter, you will know about the types of data you can manipulate in DML expressions and how to state literal values. You will have a basic knowledge of the use of variables and naming conventions.
