Create DML Mapping Projects

A Mapping Project combines all files required for creating, designing, and modifying one or more DML Mappings.

To create a DML Mapping Project:

  1. From the main menu, select File > New > Mapping Project.
  2. Alternatively, you can right-click in the Project Explorer and select New > Mapping Project.
  3. A wizard appears to help you create a new Mapping Project.
  4. Enter the Project name. It must be a valid project name. That means you cannot use special or space characters.
  5. Select the Mapping type: DML.
  6. Mapping Services provides two types of Mapping Projects: DML and Datamapper.
  7. Optionally, select Add project to working sets to add the Mapping Project to a working set.
  8. In doing so, you can group several Mapping Projects. Click Select to select the path to the working set.
  9. Click Finish.
