Manage WebTrader partner and community attributes templates

As a WebTrader administrator you can create partner and community attributes templates to link custom metadata to you WebTrader users.

You can use these attributes in two general situations:

  • Searching for objects – The search pages of both the Administration interface and of the WebTrader end-user interface include an attribute name and value filter, so you can search for a particular object that has a particular attribute or a particular attribute value.
  • Message handling – You can use these attributes as you do any other metadata attributes in Interchange - for message-handling. For example, you could configure routing or processing only if a specific metadata attribute/value is detected.

Create a partner or community attributes template

  1. From the Interchange tool bar select WebTrader manager > Manage WebTrader partners.
  2. From the Related tasks list at the bottom of the page, click Manage partner and community attributes template.
  3. From the Related tasks list at the bottom of the page, click Add new attribute field.
  4. In the Add an attribute field page complete the fields:
    • Name – Enter a name for the attribute. This is the name that will be displayed to document traders.
    • Make this a required attribute – Select this option if all WebTrader partners must have this attribute valued in their configuration.
    • Make available for searching – Select this option if you want the WebTrader end user's search tool to include this attribute name and value as a search filter option.
    • Make available for message processing – Select this option if you want document processing to depend on the detection (or non-detection) of this attribute or attribute value. For example, you may want to configure a service to run only if a specific partner attribute/value is detected.
    • This property is a list of values – Select this option if you want to create a list of 1-n values from which the user selects a single value.
    • Selection style – Indicate if the user can select from a single value or from a multiple-value list.
    • Possible values – Enter the possible values that you want to appear in the user's selection list.
  5. Click Add.
