Interchange supports the exchange of messages and files over a wide array of protocols and standards.
Interchange message exchanges can be classified in two general categories:
Exchanges with applications
You can configure
Interchange to exchange (send and consume) messages and files with applications on your private
network. You set up application pickups and deliveries within a community.

You can configure
Interchange to exchange (send and consume) messages and files with trading partners located
in both private and public networks. You set up community trading pickups in community
objects, and partner trading deliveries in partner objects.

and how to manage them:
Registration wizard for partners
The registration wizard helps your company join a trading community. The wizard prompts
for information to establish a relationship between your company and the community.
The community uses the information to build a partner for your company. This gives
the community your preferences for receiving e-commerce messages over the Internet.
In the case of ebXML, the wizard builds a Collaboration Protocol Agreement (CPA) for
use by you and your partner.
If you need more time to collect information, cancel the registration process and
return to the wizard later.
