Update the Repository connection

It is recommended that you set or modify the AIS Repository connection via the Installer. You can however set the connection manually as follows:

  1. Open the INSTALL_DIR/interplay-web.xml file.
  2. Change the AIS Repository connection parameters.

Example

<Resource name="jdbc/ConfigurationDataSource" auth="Container"

type="javax.sql.DataSource"

driverClassName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"

url=" jdbc:oracle:thin:@//192.168.1.1:1521/Repository" username="REPOSITORY"

password="82oAfrjByfjHPl3sYLXOeg==" />

Note: If you want to modify the password, you must use the Installer update tool or encrypt a password using the encryptPassword InterPlay script.

  1. Copy the new file into the <TomcatInstall>/contexts directory.
    The database connection is registered as well as a JNDI resource on the Web server in: “jdbc/ConfigurationDataSource”.
  2. Update the ant-task.properties file:

ConfigDBUrl=jdbc:oracle:thin:@//192.168.1.1:1521/Repository

ConfigDBUser=REPOSITORY

ConfigDBPwd=82oAfrjByfjHPl3sYLXOeg==

ConfigDBDriver= oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

5. Export the registry.xml file from your previous Configuration Repository.

6. Import the modified registry.xml file into your new Configuration Repository.
