InterPlay objects

Overview

The main objects that InterPlay handles are illustrated in the following figure.

The relationships that are used in the diagram are:

  • : A owns B. When A is deleted, all associated B are deleted as well. A B instance can be owned by only one A.
  • : A inherits from B or , in other words, A extends B
  • : A is indirectly associated to B. There is no direct link but in a special context A is associated to B.

Models

The objects are separated in different models:

  • The Data model represents the object instances InterPlay handles.
  • The InterPlay edition model represents the user interface artifacts used to organize, view and modify the data model.

For an example of the mapping between models, refer to Mapping between Data and Edition models.

For information on InterPlay configuration objects, refer to Configuration objects.
