Get started with InterPlay

The following procedures illustrate an end-to-end scenario using InterPlay.

Use configuration samples

Customize the user interface

Use configuration samples

To help you get started or to help you define a configuration based on an existing one, InterPlay provides samples that can be used by different services.

Located in the [Install_Path]/AIS/Designer/extra/work/predefinedConfigurations directory, a list of sample configurations are available and can be used to configure and test the user environment.

The folder contains a list of configurations that can be loaded into the Designer and can be used for a deploy in InterPlay:

  • addonSimulation
  • baseAccountingIntegration
  • baseDatastore
  • baseFlowManagement
  • baseInterPlay
  • getStartedAccountingIntegration
  • getStartedDatastore
  • getStartedInterPlay
  • simulationFlowManagement
  • transformedConfiguration

Deploy a configuration

To deploy a configuration in InterPlay, follow these steps after perfoming the installation:

  1. Connect to the Designer and click Load configuration.
  2. The list of configurations is displayed.
  3. Select a configuration, for example Get started with InterPlay and click Load.
  4. The configuration is loaded in the Designer as data files.
  5. Select all the collections and deploy the configuration to InterPlay.

Use samples

Samples data is delivered with InterPlay in the [Install_Path]/InterPlay/extra/work/predefinedConfigurations directory:

  • getStartedAccountingIntegration
  • getStartedInterplay

To use the sample data, follow these steps after deploying the configuration:

  1. Connect to InterPlay, login, and click Load data set.
  2. The list of samples datais displayed.
  3. Select the data you want to import and click Load.
  4. The data must correspond to the configuration you deployed in InterPlay. For our example, it should be Get started with InterPlay.
  5. The samples data is loaded in the Designer. You can open and edit the samples or you can start and create your own data to work with.

Customize the user interface

The Designer, is used to customize, simulate and deploy the configuration to a production environment.

This scenario is an example of how to customize the user interface:

  1. Create Formats:
    • Create a Collection Type
    • Create an Object Type
  2. Create Editors:
    • Create a Collection Editor
    • Create an Object Editor
  3. Create a Dictionary.
  4. Define the selection parameters.
  5. Define global settings.
  6. Make a simulation and launch it.
  7. Create a Function.
  8. Deploy the configuration.
