Manage business units and accounts
This section explains how to manage Monitored business units and/or accounts.
You may want to exclude a business unit or an account from the monitoring scope to avoid pollution with unnecessary data, especially when you know that this business unit or account is no longer active. And conversely you may want to add an account to the monitoring scope if this account doesn't exist yet. The configuration dashboard will allow you to perform those operations based on the business unit and account list already defined at SecureTransport level.
Add/remove a business unit
The Manage Business Units and Accounts dashboard is where you can the list of business units available in SecureTransport into the Embedded Analytics for SecureTransport application. To load the list of business units, just click the Load from SecureTransport button (1).
All the SecureTransport business units defined for monitoring are loaded into the application. If you don't want to monitor a particular business unit, just click the Remove button (2) right of the relevant business unit.
There could be a 1-2 minute lag between the data removal and the effective change on the screen.
If you have previously removed business units from the monitoring scope, the next time you click the Upload from SecureTransport button, all the business units actually defined in SecureTransport are added to the monitoring scope again. So you may have to remove the unwanted business units again.
The Manage Business Units and Accounts dashboard is where you can add and remove an account into the monitoring scope.
If you don't want to monitor a particular account, just click the Remove button (2) right of the relevant account.
To add an account, click the Create/Update Accounts hyperlink (1). The Swagger interface is displayed and you can then invoke a mapping API to create a new account.
Below is a description the parameters for this API and a sample request body.

Using resources with an absorption route
1 - Create the resource content
In the 07-ST-Configuration space, select the 08_Accounts resource.
In the Content text field, enter the list of accounts you want to add.
The first line of text corresponds to a header for your data. Use the
comma as a separtor. Fill in the resource content with the following fields:
- The Account Identifier (USERID)
- The Creation Time (EVENTTIMESTAMP)
- The Business Unit (GROUPNAME)
- The Emitter Type (USERPARAMETER1)
Here is an example of Content text:
2 - Start the absorption route
- On the left menu, click Routes.
- In the in space drop-down, select 07-ST-Configuration space.
- Start the route 12_CreateAccounts in that space.
After performing an action, there could be a 1-2 minute lag between the action and the effective change on the screen.
