Manage a node under Linux

When installed as a service

Start the service

To start the service, execute the following command using the specific user <admin user account>.

service <node name> start

The command checks that the service is not already running and starts the service.

Stop the service

To stop the service, execute the following command using the specific user <admin user account>

service <node name> stop

The command will check that the service is running before stopping. If the node doesn't stop after a delay, an error message is displayed. In this case,  stop the process manually using the PID provided in the error message.

Get service status

To get the status of the service, execute the following command using the specific user <admin user account>.

service <node name> status

Manually start the node

Start the node

To manually start the node, go to the installation path, and launch the script located under the bin directory.

cd <installation target path>/bin
./tnd-start.sh

This starts the node in interactive (console) mode. Closing the console shuts down the node.

Stop the node

From the interactive (console) mode

In the interactive (console) mode, issue the following command on the node shell (console) :

g! exit 0

From the command line

To manually stop the node, go to the installation path, and launch the script located under the bin directory.

cd <installation target path>/bin
./tnd-stop.sh
