Pagelets and mashlets

Glossary

Pagelet – A short-hand name for page-fragment. Any dashboard you build comprises one or more pagelets. Each pagelet provides you with a view into a particular set of values and calculations, for example, your transactions which are currently being processed. Within a pagelet, you use mashlets to display the different values and calculation results.

Mashlet – An element of a pagelet. It combines data presentation or functionality from one or more attributes.

Attributes – Support a specific operational performance objective based on data from one or more entities. Can also simply display data from one or more entities, for example, the payment amount of transactions.

State – A dashboard view that displays one or more pagelets. Use rules for dashboard states to automatically select which dashboard state to display by default. For more information, see Dashboard states for a dynamic dashboard layout.
