Mashlet types

The following table lists the different types of mashlets that you can use in a pagelet.

Tip: You can use either the Value or the Rich Text mashlets to display text values:

  • Rich Text allows for more formatting and attribute-display flexibility
  • Value is more useful for datagrid pagelets as you can then sort the rows or columns of the datagrid.
Mashlet Desciption
Value Displays a value as text. Formatting and alignment capabilities available.
Classifier Displays a classifier (status icon).
Value and classifier Uses a combined layout to combine a value with a classifier.
Rich text Displays a value as text. You can display more than one attribute at a time, for example, both a payment amount and its currency. More formatting capabilities available than for the value mashlet.
Threshold Displays thresholds values using the fixed thresholds type. A threshold defines a mapping between a range of values and a classifier.
Forecast and classifier Displays the values of a forecast and/or the results of a threshold evaluation.

Displays a classifier based on a boolean rule. Possibility to change the value of the classifier when the time machine is live.

Enables the user to acknowledge an item in the pagelet, for example, a failed payment. To learn how to create an acknowledge mashlet, see How to create alarms.

Creates an action button users can click. An action mashlet is designed to fetch information about a single instance that you specify.

To learn how to create an action mashlet, see How to fetch information on demand using an action mashlet.

Relation editor

Enables you to modify the target instance of a mono-valued relation at runtime from any pagelet. For this mashlet to work you must,

  • Specify a mandatory input – which mono-valued relation is editable through the mashlet.
  • Optionally, you can specify a second input, namely a multi-valued relation to filter the authorized target instances. I f you don't specify this second attribute, then all instances of the target entities are listed in the mashlet.

Note: You cannot select reverse relations when setting up a relation editor mashlet.

Chart mashlets For a representation of Decision Insight charts, see Chart types.
Spark column Displays a time series as a mini chart (bar, line, area).
Multi historical Displays multiple scalar values and Forecast values.
Historical Displays values, baselines, thresholds and statuses over an interval of time. The data is displayed as a chart with a time axis.
Pie Displays data as a pie chart.
Gauge Displays data as a gauge chart.
Flat baseline Displays values, baselines, and thresholds as a flat baseline at time machine instant.
