Uninstall a node from Linux

Stop the node

See Manage a node under Linux for more information

Backup the node data (optional)

If you want to keep your data, save the <working directory>.

Remove the service

Uninstall the service from the operating system's service control manager by executing the provided uninstall script in <install directory>/bin/(orchestrator|messaging-server)-service-unregister.sh under the user <System administration account>:

> ./<installation directory>/bin/orchectrator-service-unregister.sh
OS distribution is ubuntu
unregistering service auto run levels using update-rc.d
> ./<installation directory>/bin/messaging-server-service-unregister.sh
OS distribution is ubuntu
unregistering service auto run levels using update-rc.d

This will remove service run levels and uninstall the service script form /etc/init.d

Manually delete directories

Manually delete <install directory> and <working directory>.
