Manage the query history

About query history

The History screen displays the list of recently executed queries sorted by date. If you have selected the Persistent option in the query definition, the query result constitutes a single entry in the History and is available for as long as indicated in the lifetime field.

You can:

Customize the queries display

When you select a history request, the results are displayed by default in the P1 panel . If a request is in progress, the results are not available.

You can however:

  • Customize the data display by adding tabs that contain filter and aggregation conditions.
  • Save them as user preferences for the current user or for all the users that have the rights to execute the query.

To customize the display:

  1. In the main screen, select the Queries > History menu item.
  2. Click on a History entry to display the results for that request.
The results panel includes a multi-tab view.
  3. Click the plus icon.
Data from the default tab is duplicated in the new tab. Called Tab 1 the first time, the tab number is incremented each time a new tab is created.
  4. Filter and/or aggregate data if necessary.
  5. Perform steps 3 and 4 as many times as necessary.
  6. To delete a tab, close the tab.
  7. To customize the tab data display or the tab names and order, set your preferences in the Preferences screen.

When you click a history request, the results are displayed by default in the P1 panel.

If results panels are:

  • synchronized, P1 results panel is master and P2 contain the P1-related query (if any).
  • not synchronized, P1 and P2 panels contain different results and you can move back and forth in P1 and P2 independently.

You can use the browser Back and Forward navigation buttons to navigate between history requests.
