Database log management

Database log messages are generated at:

  • Installation
  • Creation and update of dynamical database objects

The database log management service allows you to execute the following operations:

List database log messages

Description

List database log messages.

Syntax

dstools database log list

[-l|--level LEVEL]

[-d|--date DATE]

[-f|--file FILE]

[-F|--force]

[-s|--schema SCHEMA]

Parameter

  • level - Restrict to the given minimum level (FATAL > ERROR > WARN > INFO > DEBUG > TRACE).
  • date - Restrict to the given date (date format: yyyyMMdd).
  • file - File to write database log messages.
  • force - Overwrite the output file if exists.
  • schema - Restrict to the given schema (MAIN, CACHE, VIEW).
  • Default value: MAIN

Examples

List database log messages from MAIN schema:

dstools database log list

List database log messages from CACHE schema produced on January 1st, 2015:

dstools database log list --schema CACHE --date 20150101

List to the cacheDbLog.txt file the database log messages from CACHE schema produced on January 1st, 2015:

dstools database log list --file cacheDbLog.txt --schema CACHE --date 20150101

Delete database log messages

Description

Delete database log messages.

Syntax

dstools database log delete

[-l|--level LEVEL]

[-d|--date DATE]

[-s|--schema SCHEMA]

Parameter

  • level - Restrict to the given minimum level (FATAL > ERROR > WARN > INFO > DEBUG > TRACE).
  • date - Restrict to the given date (date format: yyyyMMdd).

Example

Delete database log messages from MAIN schema:

dstools database log delete

Delete database logs from CACHE schema produced on January 1st, 2015:
