About query filtering properties

When computing the property list, the system uses the following filtering features.

Properties with the same name are kept when their global type (string, number, date) is different.

Example

Type1.VALUE (string), Type2.VALUE (int), Type3.VALUE (long)

Where VALUE appears twice in the list:

  • VALUE (with "Type1 [string]" tooltip)
  • VALUE (with Type2, Type3 [Number])

Three global types correspond to the following configuration model types:

  • String: String
  • Number: int, long, decimal
  • Date: Date, DateTime

Search box

You enter a string in the search box and the available properties are displayed as you type.

Toggling options

You select one or more of the following property options:

  • System
  • Index
  • Common

The available properties that are displayed correspond to the:

  • Union of the properties for the selected options.
  • Type selected in the query General information screen.

Type filter

Depending on the data that you have entered in the Execution settings screen (Tag, Object Type, Element Type, Version), the Type combo box displays different options:

The combo box contains the list all Object types or Element Types and versions that have the tag.

If you select:

  • The tag name, the properties displayed are the union of the properties for the type.
  • An Object Type or Element Type and version, the properties displayed are the properties of the type and version.

The combo box contains the list all the versions of the Object Type.

If you select:

  • The tag name, the properties displayed are the union of the properties for the versions.
  • The Object Type and version, the properties displayed are the properties of the type and version.
- - X X The properties displayed are the properties of the type and version.
- X - X

The combo box contains the selected Object Type and version.

If you select:

  • The tag name, the properties displayed are the union of the properties for the versions.
  • The Object Type and version, the properties displayed are the properties of the type and version.

The combo box contains the selected Element Type.

Create the filter expressions

You can define filters connected with AND/OR operators and also filters within filters connected with AND/OR operators.

  1. To create filter groups click Filter group. To create a simple filter click Filter.
  2. To define a filter property, select a property type from the drop-down list in the left panel and then the property itself. The properties displayed are filtered according to the property type selected.
  3. Choose the operator for the property.
  4. The data type influences the set of operators that apply to the field. If you select another property, the set of operators is updated according to the new type.

  6. Enter a value that can be:
    • A static value
    • A system variable: {today}, {username}
    • A property which can be used as an input or output. If you select input then the value of the property will be taken from a context (already executed request or function).
  7. Repeat steps 1 to 5 as many times as necessary to add nested filter expressions or new filter expressions.
  8. Click Next to add a view name and generate a report template.
