If you are using putty, the @ is a special character and it must be escaped with \@. The @ character is used to define the custom URL to connect to an Oracle database. If the escape character is not used, the installer only keeps the second half of the string.

MySQL setup (Main, Cache and View)

Database Name

A valid MySQL database name.

Default:

  • Main: DSMAIN
  • Cache: DSCACHE
  • View: DSVIEW
Name of the database schema used to store the data inside MySQL
Hostname

A valid, fully-qualified hostname.

Default: Host name of the machine running the installer

If you are using an IPv6 network, you must specify the hostname (IP addresses are not allowed). IPv6 addresses contain colons which interfere with the database connection URL that uses the colon as a separator between the hostname and the port number.
Port Number Default: 3306 Port to access the MySQL server or cluster
Connection User

A valid user name for MySQL.

Default:

  • Main: DSMAIN
  • Cache: DSCACHE
  • View: DSVIEW
User that will be used to connect to the MySQL database
Connection Password A valid password for MySQL Password associated with the user
Custom Url (custom Url option) jdbc:mysql://<hostname>[<:3306>]/<db_name>
