Modify the date and number format

Date and time formats for the user interface

  1. Go to Settings > Global UI Settings and modify the properties:
    • Date format – default value: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS (English), DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS (French)
    • DateTime format – default value: MM/DD/YYYY (English), DD/MM/YYYY (French)
  2. Deploy the Settings collection to default application.
  3. Refresh the Datastore Client.

Date and time formats for query results

The default date and time formats are:

  • Date – default value: MM/DD/YYYY (English), DD/MM/YYYY (French)
  • TIme – default value: HH:MM:SS (English),HH:MM:SS (French)

Modify date and/or time format

  1. Go to Designer > Dictionaries and add a new dictionary called datastore if it does not exist.
    • For Date format, add / modify the format.date key, add a value for each language
    • For DateTime format, add / modify the format.datetime key, add a value for each language
  2. Deploy the Dictionaries to the admin application.
  3. Logout and login again in Datastore Client.

Number formats and export separator

To modify the number format or export separator:

  1. Open the Repository console and execute the following command: exportComponentDictionaries -c datastore tempFolder.
  2. For each language, open the datastore.properties file, and update the properties:
    • ui.decimalFormat - possible values: EN, FR
    • CVS.delimiter - default is comma.
  3. Execute the following commands:
    • openApplication admin
    • importDictionaries tempFolder

If the ui.decimalFormat property is set to EN value, thousands are separated by the ’,’ (comma) character and decimals are separated by the ’.’ (dot) character.

If the ui.decimalFormat property is set to FR value, thousands are separated by the ’ ’ (space) character and decimals are separated by the ’,’ (comma) character.
