Set up the WebSphere MQ client connection

You must install the WebSphere MQ client on the machine where you run B2Bi. You can use the WebSphere MQ client to connect to the WebSphere MQ Server. The server can be located on a remote machine or on the same machine as the B2Bi installation.

WebSphere MQ configuration example

On the machine where you install B2Bi set the environment variable MQSERVER for the user from which B2Bi was installed.

On Windows:

MQSERVER = MQCHAN/TCP/192.168.11.154(1414)

On Linux:

MQSERVER=MQCHAN/TCP/192.168.11.154'(1414)'

Define the WebSphere MQ queue manager, queues, and channel

Set up a queue manager and create the following queue definition:

Queue Manager: QMGR

Queues: B2BX_PU and B2BX_DEL

Channel name: MQCHAN

The names used are only examples, you can select anything (allowed by WebSphere MQ as a valid name).

Create the server channel

Use the WebSphere MQ client GUI to create a channel with the following parameters or at the server command line, type:

DEFINE CHANNEL (MQCHAN) CHLTYPE (SVRCONN) TRPTYPE (TCP) DESCR ('Server connection to Client')

Create the client channel

Use the WebSphere MQ client GUI to create a channel with the following parameters or at the server command line, type:

DEFINE CHANNEL (MQCHAN) CHLTYPE (CLNTCONN) TRPTYPE (TCP) CONNAME (192.168.11.154) QMNAME (QMGR) MAXMSGL (104857600) DESCR ('Client connection to Server')

Where 192.168.11.154 should be substituted with the IP address of the machine where your WebSphere MQ server is located and listening.

Note   Start the MQ Listener from the GUI or using the command:

runmqlsr -t tcp -m QMGR -p 1414
