Remove a Windows B2Bi service packs and patches

Run the Update application to remove patches and service packs.

Windows console mode

  1. Stop all B2Bi component servers. Do not stop the database.
  2. See Stop servers individually.
  3. Start a command windows as administrator. Navigate to the <install directory>\.update. Start the update application in console mode using following argument:
    [B2BiUpdater.bat -c]
  4. You are prompted to select one of the following options:
  5. Manage updates

    Select option:

    Add update [a, Enter], Remove update [r], List installed updates [l], Exit [e]

     

  6. To remove a patch or service pack, select option [r].
  7. A tree of installed patches and service packs is displayed.
  8. Select [r] and press [Enter]. Enter the number that corresponds to the patch or service pack you want to remove and press Enter.
  9. Confirm that the all product services are stopped, enter y, and press Enter.
  10. The patch or service pack is removed from the system, and the system is rolled back to its state before the service pack was applied.

Windows graphic mode

  1. Stop all B2Bi product servers. Do not stop the database.
  2. See Stop servers individually.
  3. From the Windows Start menu, go to Axway Software > Axway B2Bi > Update B2Bi Server or run the script [./UpdateB2BiServer.sh] on Unix.
  4. Right-click Update and select Run as administrator on Windows.
  5. On the Updates management page, select [Remove updates] and click [Next].
  6. A tree of installed patches and service packs is displayed.
  7. Mark the update to remove and click the [Select] button then click [Next] at the bottom of the page.
  8. Confirm the item that is selected for deleting, and click Next.
  9. The installer removes the update and displays a summary page.
  10. Click Finish.

Windows unattended mode

  1. Stop all B2Bi component servers. Do not stop the database.
    See Stop servers individually.
  2. Start a command windows as administrator. Navigate to the <install directory>\.update. Start the update application using following arguments:
    [B2BiUpdater.bat -c -u "Name of update"]
  3. The uninstall of the update will complete without any further actions
Note   The "Name of update" can be retrieved by listing the updates. Since the name contains space the argument must be quoted.
