File system organization

In B2Bi cluster architectures, the file system structure can be viewed in two modes:

 

Organization of the local and shared file systems in a B2Bi cluster.

Local file system

On each cluster node, the local file system hosts the product binaries for both the trading engine and the integration engine.

The integration engine uses environment variables to reference specific directories:

Variable Example path Reference
$CORE_ROOT /opt/axway/b2bi/integrator Root directory of the integration engine.
$CORE_LOCAL /opt/axway/b2bi/integrator/local Not used in B2Bi 1.5 and later.
$CORE_DATA /opt/axway/b2bi/integrator/data Directory where logging information is stored. This directory is partly replaced by $B2BI_SHARED_DATA

Shared file system

The shared file system is used for the storage of custom component resources and run-time data, to be used and shared by all nodes.

Important: The file system you use for B2Bi cluster file sharing must be a high-performance system that allows a large number of files to be opened simultaneously.

$B2BI_SHARED /opt/axway/shared Root directory of shared file system.
$B2BI_SHARED_DATA /opt/axway/shared/data Directory where runtime information is stored.
$B2BI_SHARED_LOCAL /opt/axway/shared/local Directory where custom components are stored.

The trading engine uses the /opt/axway/shared/common directory for the storage of runtime data.
