Backup, import and restore

Activator provides tools for creating backup files of the following parts of your configuration:

After you create backups, you can use them in several ways:

Restoration:

  • Restore a single community (and its partners) to the Activator instance where you created the community backup.
  • Restore a single partner to the Activator instance where you created the partner backup.

Deployment and promotion:

  • Deploy or promote a single community (and its partners) to another Activator environment.
  • Deploy or promote a single community as a partner to another Activator environment.
  • Deploy or promote a single partner to another Activator environment.

Uniqueness of objects and exchange contexts

When you manage backup and restore files in Uniqueness in Activator, you should take into consideration uniqueness requirements.
