Pickup groups

A pickup group is a container for pickup exchanges (application or trading partner pickups) that can be managed together. You can assign any pickup to a group. A pickup group can be empty or can contain any number of pickups.

Restrictions:

  • A pickup can only belong to one group.

For example, you can use pickup groups to disable the application and trading pickups associated with certain flows in one environment and activate them in another environment.

Run time behavior

If the pickup is not in a pickup group then the availability of the pickup is determined from the enabled/disabled state of the pickup.

If the pickup is assigned to a group and the group is enabled, then the availability of the pickup is determined from the enabled/disabled state of the pickup.

If the pickup is assigned to a group and the group is disabled, the pickup is unavailable.

The user interface

The tools for adding, removing, activating and renaming pickup groups are located in the Activator UI on the Pickup groups page. To access this page, from the Trading configuration menu, select Manage pickup groups.

Additionally, you can manage the membership of each pickup in pickup groups from the Manage pickup group assignments page. To access this page, from the Trading configuration menu, select Manage pickup group assignments.
