Caution It is not possible to change the database type once the product is installed. Components that require a database The following is a list of the components that require a database and the databases they support: Designer Axway Database Oracle MySQL MS SQL Server Repository Axway Database Oracle MySQL MS SQL Server Caution You must not use MS SQL Server with Repository if you are working on a configuration that includes Datastore. Report Server Axway Database Oracle MySQL MS SQL Server Axway Database Axway Database is a product that is powered by MySQL. It includes: A pre-configured MySQL Server A set of administration scripts (starting, stopping, Backups, etc.) The Axway Database Administration Guide, available on the Axway Support website, contains detailed information on subjects like backup and restore. External databases The links below provide the minimum information needed to setup a database prior to running the Axway Installer. Click the link below that corresponds to your database: Oracle MySQL MS SQL Server If you use an external database, you are responsible for administering and maintaining it. Axway only provides support for the Axway Database. If you generate scripts in order to customize the database before execution, we strongly recommend the scripts only be edited and run by a Database Administrator. If you perform an installation with an offline database, you should choose to generate the database scripts but not to launch them. In this case, you will need to run the scripts manually before launching the product. You will also need to run a post-installation script to properly configure the product.
