Axway Database

Axway Database is a product that is powered by MySQL. It includes:

  • A pre-configured MySQL Server
  • A set of administration scripts (starting, stopping, Backups, etc.)
  • The Axway Database Administration Guide, available on the Axway Support website, contains detailed information on subjects like backup and restore.

External databases

The links below provide the minimum information needed to setup a database prior to running the Axway Installer. Click the link below that corresponds to your database:

Oracle

MySQL

MS SQL Server

If you use an external database, you are responsible for administering and maintaining it. Axway only provides support for the Axway Database.

If you generate scripts in order to customize the database before execution, we strongly recommend the scripts only be edited and run by a Database Administrator.

If you perform an installation with an offline database, you should choose to generate the database scripts but not to launch them. In this case, you will need to run the scripts manually before launching the product. You will also need to run a post-installation script to properly configure the product. See Perform post-installation tasks.

Note   Databases are supported for all operating systems listed in the Axway Supported Platforms document available on the Axway support web site.
