Plan the deployment

AccountingIntegrator is composed of:

  • AI Enabler which is a configuration workstation that enables you to design Transformation and Routing Rules, Tracking Rules, Aggregation Rules, and Balancing Rules
  • Composer Database for AccountingIntegrator that enables you to update the Composer database from AccountingIntegrator tables.
  • AccountingIntegrator Broadcast Agent that sends the Rules generated in Composer to the Rule Engine.
  • AccountingIntegrator Migration Tool that migrates databases from RDJ to AccountingIntegrator.
  • An AccountingIntegrator transformation Rule Engine with three possible configurations:
  • File Rule Engine
  • MQSeries Rule Engine
  • File UTF16 Rule Engine

Composer and AI Enabler installation procedures are delivered in separate installation kits.

Note   AI Enabler can only be installed on an already existing installation of Composer.

Before you start the installation, check the validity of your technical environment against the Rule Engine prerequisites.

Server application that acts as a wrapper over Rule Engine and adds the parallel processing capability. It offers also the possibility to integrate with Datastore and Interplay, by making use of the Event Processor

, which enables the event transfers between components.

AccountingIntegrator Web Applications can be installed on the provided Tomcat Webserver or on an external Web server (Tomcat or Websphere). To satisfy your infrastructure constraints or for performance reasons, the Web Applications can be installed on different Web Servers.

AccountingIntegrator components use separate database schemas that can be installed on the same database or in different databases. Databases can be installed on the same machine as the AccountingIntegrator Web applications or on another machine.

AccountingIntegrator components connect to other Axway products as shown in the above table: Composer, PassPort.

One machine with:

  • Composer Server
  • Composer Database
  • AI Enabler

A second machine (or several other machines) with:

  • Rule Engine
  • Rule Engine Server
  • AccountingIntegrator Broadcast Agents

There can be several Rule Engines installed on other Windows, UNIX or z/OS machines.

Single-machine configuration

All components are installed on the same Windows machine.

There can only be one:

  • Composer Server
  • AccountingIntegrator Broadcast Agent
  • Composer Database
  • Rule Engine Server
