About the Object Dependencies Browser

To help users manage the interlinked network of objects used in a Transformation-Rule, Composer provides the Object Dependencies Browser that displays the object dependencies for a selected object.

Object Dependencies Browser

View and manage the interlinked network of objects used in a Transformation-Rule

There are two types of links that can exist between objects in AccountingIntegrator Enabler. The following table explains the differences between them.

Link type Description

direct use link

This link is hard-wired between object A and object B in the sense that A uses B and any manipulation of B has a repercussion on A.

Example

Object B is a Business-Field and object A a Business-Document that uses the Business-Field.

Check the Field (B), then the Business-Document (A). If you then modify the Business-Field (B) by for example changing its data type, and then save the Field, AccountingIntegrator Enabler changes the status of the Business-Document (A) back to ToBeChecked.

reference link

This is an implicit link between object A and object B in the sense that any manipulation of one of the objects has no impact on the other. These objects are independent with respect to the metadata reference.

In the Object Dependencies Browser, the reference link is indicated by .

Objects included

The Object Dependencies Browser shows how objects relate to each other within the given Transformation-Rule. You can display the object dependencies for the following objects:

  • Financial-Procedures
  • Financial-Events
  • Transformation-Rules
  • Enrichment-Rules
  • Aggregation-Rules
  • Audit-Rules
  • Balancing-Rules
  • Mapping-Templates
  • Processing-Context-Outs
  • Processing-Context-Ins
  • Transformation-Domains

The Object Dependencies Browser displays a dependency tree showing:

  • The selected object at the root
  • Objects that use the selected object
  • Objects that the selected object uses

Composer automatically refreshes the links in the dependency tree whenever you modify any of the objects concerned.

For the following objects and elements that use Transformation-Rules, click to view the dependencies between them:

  • Financial-Cases
  • Objects used for Output-Events:
    • Not classified
    • Credit
    • Debit
  • Financial-Tags
  • Objects used in DML expressions:
    • Variables
    • Tables
    • Pre-calculations
