Before you activate the compensation option, make sure you create an accounting check. For details on how to create an accounting check, see Processing-Context-Out: Definition tab. The Compensation tab comprises two panes that correspond to the right and left plate of the balance. These panes include each: An icon bar The tree structure of the selected Business-Document The mapping expressions and comments that correspond to the nodes in the selected Business-Document The Business-Document displayed is the Business-Document defined for the Balancing-Rule. If no Business-Document has been defined for the rule, the product panel is empty. The compensation mapping depends on a Balancing-Set of the rule. If more than one Balancing-Set is defined, the first one of the list is taken into account. Output-Event mapping field types Mapping fields Description Criteria (Not modifiable) The criteria values of the current Balancing set are displayed. These fields are not modifiable and the corresponding Expression and Comment fields are disabled. Filter The filter values of the current Balancing-Set are displayed. You can overwrite these values but not delete them. The filter cannot be null. By default, the value is the first filter value specified on the Balancing-Set. Inherited values are displayed in green, overwritten values in blue. When filter values change on the Balancing-Set, the corresponding fields are updated . Cumulative (Not modifiable) The cumulative values of the current Balancing-Set are displayed. These fields are not editable and the corresponding Expression and Comments fields are disabled. Leaf The leaf values of the current Balancing-Set are displayed. If a leaf element has children and this leaf element is chosen as a: Criteria or cumulative field, all the children are also defined as criteria or cumulative. Filter field, all the children are disabled, and only the parent takes the filter value. If a child leaf element is chosen as a: Criteria or cumulative field, its parents will be defined too as criteria or cumulative. Filter element, its parents will be disabled, and only the child will take the filter value. Completing the Compensation tab fields Field Description Generate Compensation Output-Event Select this check box to activate the generation of a compensation Output-Event whenever the balance is not achieved. By default this option is not selected and no mappings are displayed. If the Balancing-rule contains more than one Balancing-Set, a warning is displayed in the log pane. Expression This field is updated every time the field selection changes in the Business-Document tree. If no leaf is selected, the Comments field is disabled. Enter a comment for a field selected in the Output Business-Document tree structure. Comments Enter a comment for a field selected in the Output Business-Document tree structure. This field is updated every time the field selection changes in the Business-Document tree. If no leaf is selected, the comment panel is disabled. Apply same mapping as left plate Select this option to define only one compensation mapping for both plates. By default, this option is selected and all mapping expressions (except the ones that correspond to filters) and comments are copied into the right panel. If the panel already contains mapping data, the system prompts you to confirm your action before it is deleted. When you modify mappings Expressions and Commentsin the left pane, the corresponding fields (except filters) are updated in the right pane. When you clear this option, all the mapping Expressions and Comments are kept in the left pane and you can modify them. Compensation mapping rules Compensation field Description Alphanumeric The constant value length must not exceed the length defined for the field. UTF-16 characters must be accepted.. Double quotes ('" ") are not allowed. Numeric Only numeric characters are allowed. There must be at least one digit. By default, the value is "0". The field length must not exceed the length defined for the field. The first character can be "-". Double quotes ('" ") are not allowed. Date The constant value length must not exceed the length defined for the field. Only numeric characters are allowed. Double quotes ('" ") are not allowed. Depending on the field data type, the date format can only be:YYYYMMDDCYYMMDDYYMMDD Where YY = {01 - 99} YYYY= {1901 - 2099} C = {1 ; 2} MM= {01 - 12} DD= {01 - 31} The date must exist. For example, "February, 30th"is not allowed. Filter With or without "Apply same mapping as left plate" option, the value of the Filter field must not be the same on left and right plate.
