About the Compensation tab

Use the compensation tab to activate the compensation option when the balance is not achieved and to define the mappings that should be used on right and left plates depending on the compensation direction.

Before you activate the compensation option, make sure you create an accounting check. For details on how to create an accounting check, see Processing-Context-Out: Definition tab.

The Compensation tab comprises two panes that correspond to the right and left plate of the balance. These panes include each:

  • An icon bar
  • The tree structure of the selected Business-Document
  • The mapping expressions and comments that correspond to the nodes in the selected Business-Document

The Business-Document displayed is the Business-Document defined for the Balancing-Rule. If no Business-Document has been defined for the rule, the product panel is empty.

The compensation mapping depends on a Balancing-Set of the rule. If more than one Balancing-Set is defined, the first one of the list is taken into account.
