About the Activation dates Wizard

Use the Activation dates Wizard to define a specific activation date for each Server where the Rule can be broadcasted. Before you start, ensure that the following rights are activated: Finance Activation Date Wizard : Launch.

Creating activation dates

To create one or more activation dates, open the Tools menu in the Integration-Services workbench and select Finance > Activation dates Wizard.

To display the activation dates in the Server browser after creation, right-click in the Object list pane and select the corresponding columns from the context menu.

Screen 1: Select mode

Select one of the following options:

  • Select the Rules one by one to create activation dates manually
  • Get the Rules of a BroadcastDeal to use an existing BroadcastDeal. All the Rules in the BroadcastDeal are processed.
    If you check the Start the duplicated BroadcastDeal at the end of the process,the duplicated and updated BroadcastDeal is started automatically.

Click Next.

Screen 2: Select the BroadcastDeal

Screen 2 displays a list of available BroadcastDeals and their activation dates.

The only BroadcastDeals currently available are the:

  • SendToServer
  • SendToServerComplete
  • Commit

Select a BroadcastDeal in the left pane.

The:

  • Upper right pane displays the name of the corresponding Axway Server and its status.
  • Bottom right pane displays a list of the corresponding Rules and their status.

Click Next.

Screen 3: Select activation date parameters

Screen 3 displays the Servers available and their activation dates.

Select:

  • a Server from the drop-down list in AccountingIntegrator Enabler Server.
  • a date: Click to set the activation date.
    By default, the system displays the current date.

Click Next.

Screen 4: Conflicts detected

Screen 4 is only displayed if date conflicts have been detected.

The screen displays:

  • A table with a line for each Rule in conflict:
    • Name of the Rule (sorted by Rule name)
    • Beginning and end dates of the validity period
    • Activation date for the Server
    • checkbox
      By default, the box is checked.
  • One or more conflict messages in the bottom pane.

Click one of the messages to select the corresponding object in the table.

Choose to:

  • either modify the activation date: Click to set the activation date
  • or delete this date: Click the corresponding checkbox.
    The activation date is grayed out and reset to the beginning date of the validity period.

Click Export to the clipboard to copy the message log and eventually save it in a file.

Click Check to start the Management Rules controls. Table and bottom pane are updated. When there are no more conflicts, the table and bottom pane are empty.

Click Next to continue.

Screen 5: Activation dates report

Screen 5 displays a line for each successfully updated Rule with the:

  • Name of the Rule (sorted by name)
  • Beginning and end dates of validity period
  • Activation date for the Server
    If no activation date is defined for a Rule or a Server, the beginning date of the validity period is displayed instead.
  • Rule status

Click to display an explanation of the symbols.

 

Click the last column heading to reorder items.

Click Export to the clipboard to copy the report and eventually save it in a file.

Click Next to continue.

Screen 6: Execution report

The last screen displays the execution report.

Click Finish to close the Activation dates Wizard.
