About the Filter Date tab

You access the Filter date property from the contextual menu of the Financial-Event object only in the Business View tab.

Using the Filter Date tab

Use the Filter Date window to set the validity date for filtering the Input-Events. By default the Dictionary and Business View lists all the Input-Events within a given Folder. When you specify a filter date you select only those Input-Events whose validity periods include the given date. When you apply the filter date Composer displays all the Input-Events. It attaches to Input-Events that meet that criteria and to those that do not.

For Input-Events that:

  • Do not meet the criteria, Composer allows you to view the valid versions of the Transformation-Rules attached to them. However, Composer does not display the invalid versions of the Transformation-Rules.
  • Meet the criteria, Composer only displays  those Transformation-Rules whose validity periods include the filter date.

Viewing all valid Rule versions for a given date

Where more than one valid version of a Rule exists, from AccountingIntegrator Enabler v1.2 Service Pack 1 onwards, Composer displays the version actually used at the date you selected. That is, the version whose start validity date is closest to the selected date. If you want to view the other valid Rule versions for the selected date, activate the option Display all Transformation-Rules based on the filter date.

Setting the Filter Date

To set the filter date:

  1. Right-click the Financial-Event object in the Business View tab and click Filter the Business View.
  2. Enter the date manually in MM/DD/YYYY format in the Input-Event date field.
  3. Optionally, click Objects in current folder only to add a supplementary filter to display only those objects in the current working folder. This option restricts the display to the objects that you can modify.
  4. Click OK.
