About the Syntax Editor

These three functionalities are meant to facilitate the definition of mapping expressions.

Syntax highlighting

This function is available on the following objects:

  • Functions
  • Variables
  • Operators
  • Keywords (IF, THEN, ELSE)
  • Constants

Depending on the type of mapping, each element of the expression is displayed according to a specific color code:

  • red: type of function
  • blue: parameter

Completion option

This function is available on the following objects:

  • Functions
  • Variables
  • Keywords (IF, THEN, ELSE)
  • Tables
  • Leaf elements
  • Pre-calculations

To use this option on mapping expressions:

  • Start entering a function code.
  • Use the shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+Space.
    The system displays a list of possible functions.
  • Double-click to select the function that you want to use.
    The function is then displayed in the Expression field.

Note : Before you can enter a function, you must have:

  • Selected an Input-Event in the left column.
  • Clicked to expand the Expression field.

To activate this option, move slowly the mouse over the target field.

The type of data displayed is:

  • General information (name, explanation label)
  • Descriptive information (syntax, example, argument)
