Event

Definition

An Event is the set of information registering an event that occurs in a business application. For example, creating a loan contract.

Characteristics

  • Identified by a unique Event code
  • Composed of one or more segments, not necessarily with the same structure. For example, a header, detail lines, and summary line for creating a loan contract.
  • Each segment is identified by a segment code
  • The segments from the same Event occurrence form an instance of that Event and are identified by a unique instance code. Segments which belong to the same Event also have the same instance code.
  • If the system detects an anomaly in a segment, it places in anomaly all the other segments with the same instance code.
