Purpose

Use the find/replace tool to locate objects quickly and, optionally, to make mass modifications to a selected set of objects.

To access the Find/Replace tab:

The Find/Replace tab displays a Find tab and an Advanced tab. Use the fields on these tabs to refine the search based on a set of specific criteria.

The Replace tab is only displayed if you select one of the following object types:

  • Table
  • Mapping-Template
  • Enrichment-Rule
  • Transformation-Rule

Finding objects

  1. Before you complete the search criteria on the Find tab, decide whether you want to restrict the search to a specific:
  • Folder
  • set of object types
  1. Complete the fields in the Find tab.
  2. Optionally, complete the fields in the Advanced tab.
  3. Click Find.

Replacing object attributes

The Replace tab is only displayed if you select a single object type in the Find tab (Table, Mapping-Template, Enrichment-Rule, or Transformation-Rule).

If the search:

  • was successful, the right pane displays the list of objects that correspond to the specified criteria
  • was not successful, the Replace buttons are grayed out.

The Replace function enables you to replace a given value in all object(s) that you select in the right pane in automatic mode or step-by-step mode.

Execution reports

The Log pane displays a message about the current operation. To have more detailed information, double click the message to open the log file in a browser. The report gives the date, search criteria  and details about the execution. You can print it or save it.
