What is a Transformation-Domain?

A Transformation-Domain object groups and organizes the Transformation-Phases defined for an Input-Event.

You can therefore separate the Transformation-Phases corresponding to an Input-Event over several Transformation-Domains if the associated processing varies according to the sessions. For  example, if you have daily, monthly and annual processing cycles you may need to activate additional Transformation-Phases.

Object dependencies

When you define or import an object, it is stored in the metadata repository and is available for reuse by other objects. Typically, the objects that you define exist in a specific object hierarchy. That is, objects:

  • use objects below them in the hierarchy
  • are used by objects above them in the hierarchy

To help you manage the interlinked network of objects, the software provides the Object Dependencies Browser that displays the object dependencies for a selected object.

The following table lists the objects that use and are used by Transformation-Domains.

How you define a Transformation-Domain

Before you define a Transformation-Domain

No previous steps are mandatory.

Defining a Transformation-Domain

Create the Transformation-Domain object from the Interface tab.

To define a new Transformation-Domain, complete the following tab:

In addition, the Transformation-Domain properties window contains the following tabs:

  • Signature tab
  • Description tab

After you define a Transformation-Domain

After you define a Transformation-Domain, you can use it in the Processing Phase tab in the Input-Event object.
This is used by AccountingIntegrator Enabler  Rule Engine to trigger the processing of the Transformation-Phases when they are associated with the Transformation-Domain activated by the transformation environment.

How you use a Transformation-Domain

You can perform all basic operations on Transformation-Domain objects, depending on your user right. [FOR DETAILS: Working with objects: Start here]

The Transformation-Domain object does not follow the standard object life cycle. You cannot explicitly send this object to Production.
