Start services on bootup

To configure the Node Manager and API Gateway services to start automatically at boot time, you can use the following commands:

# chkconfig --add vshell-NODE_MANAGER_NAME
# chkconfig --add vshell-GROUP_NAME-INSTANCE_NAME

For example:

# chkconfig --add vshell-Node-Manager-on-192.0.2.165
# chkconfig --add vshell-Group1-APIGateway1

To test that the services have been configured correctly to start on bootup, run the following command:

# chkconfig --list | grep vshell-*

The following shows an example of the expected output for the command:

vshell-Group1-APIGateway1 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off
vshell-Node-Manager-on-192.0.2.165 0:off 1:off 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off

You can also configure services to start at boot time using the Web Administration Interface. For more information, see Configure a service to start at bootup.
