Upload and download files

You can upload and download files to and from the appliance using the Web Administration Interface. For example, you can upload any required license files (see License keys), or download system information for Axway Support (see Get system information using the WAI). You can also download diagnostic files (for example, trace files) to a local machine; or download files (for example, upgrade packages) directly from the web to the appliance.

Note   There are restrictions on the locations where you can upload to and download from (for example, to avoid uploading a file to locations such as /etc/passwd). You can only upload and download from the following locations:
  • /opt/apigateway
  • /opt/upgrades
  • /opt/backups
  • /WAI_settings

You can upload and download to all subdirectories in these locations (for example, /opt/apigateway/conf/fed).
