Create a Graph of Business Events

A graph of Business events should be attached to each Product. Its purpose is to illustrate the life of the Product. This section explains how to create and edit such a diagram. Below is an example:

Create a graph of business events

Edit the Event graph

The following procedure applies if you have the corresponding user rights (for information about user rights and privileges, read the AccountingIntegrator Security guide):

  1. Click Products, then select a Product name.
  2. In the right-hand pane, click Business events tab.
  3. If necessary, click the Edit button at the top right of the page.
  4. Select a Business event in the list and click Add to add it into the diagram. A node with the name of the chosen Business event will appear in the graph.
  5. Click on the node and move it to the appropriate position using the mouse.
  6. To delete a node or a link, select it or hover over it, then click the delete icon.
  7. To make a link between two nodes, press Shift key then drag the mouse from the source node to the destination node.
  8. To make a recursive link (meaning the Business event can be repeated several times), double-click on the node.
  9. To add or edit a comment on a link, select the link then insert or edit your comment in the upper text box which appears above the graph. Click the Comment button to commit. On the link, a small yellow file icon indicates the link has a comment. Mouse over the link and the comment appears as a tooltip.
  10. To delete a comment on a link, select the link, go to the upper text box above the graph and delete the comment inside. Click the Comment button to commit. The small yellow file icon disappears from the link.
