Define Tags for Datastore

Tags provide a flexible way to create groups of types on Object types and Elements types. Types that are marked with the same tag constitute a group that can be queried in Datastore. Properties that are common (name, type) to the types of the group can be used in the queries.

Default Tags are created in the Repository when you first deploy a configuration:

  • Input Tag groups together all the Audit ObjectTypes that are of InputEvent type.
  • Output Tag groups together all the Audit ObjectTypes that are of OutputEvent type.
  • Audit Tag groups together all the Audit ObjectTypes that are of InputEvent and OutputEvent type.

Functional Tags can be created by the user in Designer and deployed to the Repository.

In the figure above, three types out of five are tagged with the Line tag. They have in common the AccId property that makes it possible to execute on the Datastore queries such as: Get all Line where AccId=’123456’. The Datastore returns all the instances of ElementA, ElementB and ElementC for which the AccId property equals ‘123456’.
