General Datasource details

Name String / 30

Name of the Datasource

It must be unique among the Datasources

Type String / 20

Possible values are:

  • DbTable: the datasource collects the data from a database table.
  • Datastore / InterPlay table: the datasource collects the data from a database table that stores Object or Element properties.
  • Import file: the datasource collects the data from the database table that stores Object or Element properties. It is used to specify the structure of a ".csv" file to import.

External Datasource details

Driver String / 50 Driver for the Datasource
Username String / 30

User login and password to connect to the target database

Password String /30
Schema String /30 Depending on the database, the Schema identifier is different from the Username. It is the same for Oracle.
Max active Integer Maximum number of active connections for this datasource.
Resource definition String / 30
  • Exit providing connection parameters that can be used in different environments without modifying the configuration.
  • Name of a JNDI datasource
    Example : To specify a configured JNDI datasource such as java:comp/env/jdbc/myDataSource, use the jndi:myDataSource syntax.
  • If you use the Resource definition to define a datasource then all the properties defined at the top of the form are no longer required (and no longer used).
Table name String / 50 Name of the target database table

Internal and import file Datasource details

Path to the Element Type from where the data will be collected.

Data is entered as property values of a defined type using an Object Editor. The internal Datasource provides a table view of this data.

Datasource cache details

Possible values:

  • Off - cache is disabled (default value).
  • Item reset - cache is reset each item at a time.
  • Global reset - cache is reset for all items at once.

Datasource cache item reset details

Field Type / Max. length Contents
Cache max size Integer Maximum number of entries to be stored in the cache at once.
Max entry records Integer Maximum number of entries cached at once, in case the Datasource returns multiple records.
Entry lifetime Integer Time in milliseconds during which an item is kept in the cache.

Datasource cache global reset details

Use cron expression String / 1

Set to Yes, the cache is configured using a cron expression.

Set to No, the cache is configured using the Cache lifetime and Reset hour fields.

Cache max size Integer Maximum number of entries cached at once.
Max entry records Integer Maximum number of entries cached at once, in case the Datasource returns multiple records.
Cache lifetime Integer

Only visible when Use Cron expression field is set to No

Number of days the cache is kept. Visible only when Use Chrone expression is false.

Reset hour String / 1

Only visible when Use Cron expression field is set to No

Hour and minute when the cache is reset. Visible only when Use Chrone expression is false.

Cron expression String / 30

Only visible when Use Cron expression field is set to Yes

Cron expression used to configure the cache.
